INTP Hobbies

INTPs are often known as Architect personalities due to their inherent desire to lead others. Let's take a look at the most common INTP hobbies.

INTP is an acronym that stands for Introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving. INTP is one of the sixteen personality types (MBTI) developed in the 1940s by Isabel Myers and Katharine Briggs. It is one of the rarest varieties of personalities, accounting for around 3% of the overall population.
Because our Myers-Briggs personality types explain how our minds operate, it stands to reason that others of the same type would have comparable interests. We are all unique individuals, and how we spend our free time differs, although people with similar personality types generally like similar activities.

Everyone spends their leisure time differently, however millions of individuals with similar personality types participate in similar activities. Every day, people, particularly introverts and INTPs, look for new hobbies.

INTPs have a natural affinity towards hobbies. They would want to explore new things as a purveyor of possibilities, as long as it falls within their expectations.

I. INTP  Hobbies

1. Acting course

These can be the perfect playground for INTPs who enjoy experimenting with new ideas and pushing the limits. They are particularly drawn to create forms that combine science and technology, and they alternate between childish excitement and extended moments of hyperfocus.

Acting may be an excellent outlet for INTPs' Extroverted Feeling, their inferior function to exercise, or it can be one of the INTP hobbies if they have spare time.

INTPs that have acquired this ability may readily mimic the conduct of others, and they are very perceptive of body language, swiftly breaking these external signals down to interpret the underlying feelings. Despite the fact that INTP performers may experience stage fright

2. Crafting

Many INTPs love pastimes that require them to be creative. Woodworking, leather crafts, sewing, glass blowing, crochet, and metal work are just a few of the creative INTP activities they like. As a result, in their free time, they may design their own boots, coffee table, and so on....

3. Art

INTPs have a nickname: "The Architect," and many of them love design-related activities. Depending on the INTP, they may prefer on-paper tasks, physical model construction, computer-assisted design, and/or 3-D printing.

Furthermore, like many introverts, INTPs love painting and other artistic pursuits. They sketch people, animals, flowers, landscapes, and a variety of other things.

4. Music

Almost every INTP describes music as a pastime, which might involve listening to music, attending music events, playing the guitar or another instrument, producing, mixing, or writing music.

One of the INTP hobbies that these folks commonly describe is making and/or listening to music. This activity includes attending concerts, listening to music, playing the piano or other instruments, composing music, remixing melodies, and producing music.

5. Photography

INTPs frequently like photography as a pastime. It's one of the most common artistic endeavors mentioned by INTPs on the internet when discussing their favorite pastimes.

6. Reading

Many INTPs love reading for reasons other than their research interests. They like reading novels as well. It's a fantastic method for them to disconnect from the outside world while still engaging their creative, imaginative side.

If you are an INTP, you most likely like reading. INTPs read a lot, not just books about their studies or interests, but also fiction. Reading is a fantastic way to unwind and use your imagination while getting away from the stresses of everyday life.

7. Writing

Another creative pastime that INTP personality types love is writing. Many people like to write poetry, fiction, or nonfiction. Some INTPs also love making up worlds and stories in their imaginations that never make it to the paper but are still interesting to them.

They also travel a lot, which allows them to witness how various people live their lives, which provides them with more inspiration for writing. A little wanderlust never hurt anyone, and many INTPs like to travel. Some people establish travel objectives for themselves each year, while others travel more seldom.

II. INTP Interests

1. Electronic-related hobbies

Many INTPs speak about how much they like computer-related activities, especially ones that are creative in some way. Programming, 3-D rendering, and data analytics are examples of these. Some people love constructing and fixing computers as well.

INTPs frequently love playing video games. OR viewing movies and TV is a fantastic approach for INTPs to unwind and unwind. It's one of INTP hobbies that serves as a good diversion from everything else going on in their heads.

2. Exploring

INTPs frequently go from one interest, thinking, or action to another. Many people have a diverse set of interests and despise boredom. INTPs may explore a wide range of activities and interests rather than focusing on a few distinct hobbies.

INTPs love getting lost in contemplation, and many make time for it in the same way that other individuals make time for team sports or book clubs. Or attending concerts, museums, theatrical performances, fashion displays, and so on...

INTPs enjoy attending cultural events and generally share their enthusiasm for culture and art with one or two pals. They enjoy going to their favorite festivals during the summer.

3. Languages

INTPs often enjoy learning new languages. It’s a challenging hobby, but one that many enjoy and are very good at. One INTP can study several languages at once, or some others can work their way one at a time through learning multiple languages.

4. Learning and Research

INTPs frequently like nonfiction reading, conversing with intriguing and informed individuals, and enrolling in classes relating to a wide range of interests. Some people love hands-on inquiry and experimenting, even if it's simply stating something outlandish to see how others react.

INTPs learn in a critical, analytical, and conceptual manner. They favor independent study above many other forms, and they are often competent self-directed learners. When they attend a class or course, they ask themselves what they are learning and why they are studying it. They are mostly interested in subjects that will assist them in problem-solving, developing expertise, or theorizing.

INTPs are more obsessed with fulfilling their own standards than with meeting the standards of others. They set high intellectual objectives for themselves, and if the courses they are given do not correspond with what they believe is valuable, they will frequently spend most of their free time thinking about these other, more exciting concepts.

5. Exercise

Many INTPs have extremely busy brains and like yoga and meditation, where they can watch and calm down their thoughts and find focus when meditating. Meditation allows people to calm down, monitor their thoughts, and concentrate. Many people love yoga as an intereset in the list of ideal INTP hobbies connected to this.

INTPs require time alone to ponder in order to overcome the most challenging tasks. One of the major issues with our hectic lifestyles is that we seldom have time to stop and ponder. This can have a detrimental influence on INTPs in particular.

Getting out in nature is a favorite pastime of all introverted, intuitive personalities. It's a fantastic way to interact with and appreciate the real environment. INTPs are sometimes characterized as indolent, however, this does not prevent many INTPs from engaging in extremely active activities. Hiking, jogging, kayaking, bicycling, rock climbing, and weightlifting are a few active activities that INTPs may like.

Hiking and backpacking, to be more specific, are merely another opportunity to spend time in nature. In order to reconnect, many INTPs prefer hiking or spending time alone outside. Hiking is a popular activity among INTPs, mostly because it is a fantastic way to disconnect from daily stress and reconnect with one's inner world.

6.  Science

INTPs frequently engage in science-related activities and may pursue scientific jobs. There's a reason the term "mad scientist" has become a cliché for INTPs. INTPs can be seen researching a range of science-related topics for enjoyment, ranging from astronomy to biochemistry to physics.

This is because INTPs have been labeled the "Scientist," "Engineer," or "Architect," whereas ENTPs have been dubbed the "Inventor," "Visionary," or "Mad Scientist." Our combination of extraverted intuition, Ne (the capacity to make new connections between seemingly unrelated objects), and introverted reasoning, Ti (the ability to analyze, systemize, and create logical networks), does indeed sound like a great mix for scientific studies and jobs.

7. Strategy Games

Because they are both logical and intuitive, INTPs are perfectly capable of being strategic thinkers. INTPs are adept at weighing the pros and cons of various scenarios and devising strategies to prevent undesirable results.

Chess and other strategy games are frequently INTP pastimes that these people like. And chess is one of the most popular pastimes among INTPs. Chess will come naturally to them as a great strategic thinker.

Other games that demand strategic and analytical thinking, such as Stratego, are also popular. INTPs are drawn to games that demand analytical and strategic thinking. A board game would be an excellent birthday present for them.

Jigsaw puzzles should be a fantastic activity for INTPs because they have the capacity to focus in detail and solve issues.
